NNU is launching a new Certificate in Robotics this summer! If you’re interested in a career in robotics, here are 6 reasons why you should consider our program:
- Robotics is one of the fastest-growing fields in engineering and computer science, and robotics engineers are highly compensated (the average per ZipRecruiter for the US is $91K).
- As part of the program, you will have direct access to an Amazon Robotics Architect and Mentor who can answer specific questions about the company and robotics in general. Graduates of NNU’s Certificate in Robotics program will be assigned a mentor to see whether Amazon, one of the world’s largest and most influential companies, might be a good fit for them.
- Numerous companies are hiring robotics engineers in and around the Treasure Valley. Currently, there is more demand than there are qualified individuals to take the roles needing to be filled.
- Robotics is fun. You get to build and program your own robot!
- Completing the certification program could be a stepping stone to an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science. The tools and techniques learned in this course can apply directly to a university computer science study program.
- You can expand your skillset. Robotics engineers bring together skills from multiple disciplines, such as computer science, physics and engineering. So whatever your skills and skill level, you can move them to the next level by learning robotics!
The 8-week, 2-course series is designed for anyone 18 years or older who has experience with at least one computer language and an aptitude in programming. A degree is not required, so if you enjoy tinkering, programming, electronics, building robots and are interested in specialization, we invite you to participate!
