COMMENCEMENT

Commencement 2024

COMMENCEMENT PARTICIPATION POLICY

Students may participate in Commencement if all degree requirements are completed or will be completed at the end of the spring semester, including the cultural competency experience.

Exceptions:

  • With all other degree requirements met, a student may participate in Commencement if no more than 6 credits remain uncompleted.
  • Ed.D. and Ph.D. students are allowed the following requirements uncompleted beyond the spring semester:
    • Submission of the final, approved, written dissertation to NNU’s Library UMI dissertation database.

LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR GRADUATION IS Friday, March 21, 2024

CLEARANCE FOR PARTICIPATION

Traditional Undergraduate Students

If you have been cleared for participation by the Registrar’s Office, you will be allowed to participate in Commencement activities. Emails have been sent to all students who have applied to graduate. The last day to be cleared for participation is Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Graduate & Professional Studies Students

Graduate and Professional Studies students will be cleared for participation through the Registrar’s Office. Emails have been sent to all students who have applied to graduate. The last day to be cleared for participation is Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

PICKING UP REGALIA

Traditional Undergraduate Students

Traditional undergraduate students will be able to pick up academic regalia at Reunion Zero, which will take place on April 21 at 1:00 p.m. in Walden Hall for graduating seniors.

*If you are unable to attend Reunion Zero, you may pick up your regalia in the Registrar’s Office from Tuesday, April 23 through Wednesday, May 1, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Graduate & Professional Studies Students

Pick up regalia from department offices starting April 26, 2024.

Graduates report to a location to Thomas Family Health and Science Center at least 30 minutes (earlier is recommended) prior to Commencement for check-in and pictures; then proceed to the Quad for seating.
