NNU ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI RELATIONS

Zach MarbleNorthwest Nazarene University has announced the appointment of Zach Marble as NNU’s new Director of Alumni Relations. Marble has been at NNU since 2019, most recently serving as NNU’s Associate Director of Alumni Relations for the past five years.

“I have no doubt Zach is going to excel in this new role,” said Kelli Lindley, Vice President for External Relations. “With his deep love for NNU and an obvious desire to build upon the meaningful work done before him, I anticipate Zach’s service to our alumni and friends is going to make a significant impact that enables NNU to connect and fulfill its mission in new and innovative ways. It truly is exciting as we start this new chapter within Alumni Relations and NNU is blessed to have Zach leading the charge.”

Marble graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2004 and a Master of Science in Business Administration in 2023, both from NNU.

Since beginning his role as Associate Director of Alumni Relations, Marble has made a marked impact on NNU’s alumni office, creating connections between alumni, students, parents, friends and community of NNU. Additionally, he implemented the new connection tool NNU Connect, planned and managed events for NNU alumni and friends across various geographic areas, raised donations and oversaw construction of 8 new pickleball courts and oversaw the NNU Alumni House guest rooms.

“I am thrilled to enter this new role as Director of Alumni Relations,” Marble stated. “The NNU community is something that I hold near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to the opportunity to invest further in this esteemed institution.”

Marble takes the role of Director of Alumni Relations following the retirement of Darl Bruner, who served in the role for 30 years.

“It has been a great privilege to work alongside Darl for many years,” Lindley said. “Watching him invest in NNU through his tireless work ethic and commitment to providing excellent customer service to our alumni and guests. It is obvious that Darl has developed deep, meaningful relationships with hundreds of alumni and friends and will be deeply missed.”

The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and connect with alumni, work cooperatively with the Alumni Association and provide leadership and strategic planning in an effort to strengthen and expand the relationship between NNU and its alumni. This position reports to the Vice President for External Relations.
