About Chemistry

NNU’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry is a multidisciplinary degree focusing on broad chemistry fundamentals. This degree prepares students for fields of chemistry not requiring advanced studies such as those offered in a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. To make sure the student’s education includes much more than a textbook, NNU professors focus on hands-on learning in labs and offer summer research opportunities with professor-student collaboration. This allows students to begin to participate in this field throughout their academic careers.

Meet Our Faculty

NNU has prepared me for my future job as a teacher by giving me a really well-rounded education. I’ve gotten a ton of field experience and student teaching, and being a student-athlete here has taught me how to communicate and be a part of a team. I think that this education has equipped me to just be a well-rounded person and not just a student.
