Minor in Early Literacy
This minor is designed for students to increase their expertise in literacy instruction by focusing on the earliest building blocks of literacy. Topics include developmental stages, language acquisition, current research, laws and issues in early literacy, best practices for early literacy, assessment in early literacy and instructional strategies for early literacy. Students will have the opportunity to hone their skills in a classroom setting.
