Psychology

NNU’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology prepares students to explore the complex world of the brain and human behavior. This degree focuses on helping students understand and carry out research utilizing the scientific method, understand the basic theories and systems in the field of psychology and discuss the relationship between Christian thought and social sciences meaningfully. Graduates of this program are prepared for a vast array of vocational areas including psychology, social service, business, and ministry.

Department Objectives

Upon graduation students receiving a psychology degree will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and successfully apply the principles of research design, methodology and statistical analysis.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor in the context of a Christian perspective.
  • Articulate a synthesized understanding of the history, theories, and application of the major sub-disciplines of psychology.
