Transfer Students
Undergraduate Transfer
Transfer to NNU
Bring your experience. Find your place.
You’ve already begun your college journey. Now you’re looking for the right place to continue it.
As a traditional undergraduate transfer student at NNU, you’ll build on the college experience and credits you already have while becoming part of a close-knit campus community. Our transfer admissions team will help you navigate the process, understand how your credits apply and prepare for your first semester at NNU.
Transfer Admission Requirements
Ready to make your move?
To be considered for admission as a traditional undergraduate transfer student, you should meet the following requirements:
- A cumulative college GPA of at least 2.0
- Good academic standing at all previous institutions
- If you have fewer than 28 transferrable college credits, your high school academic record may also be considered as part of the admission process
NNU does not require ACT, SAT or CLT scores for admission.
If you don’t meet one or more of these requirements, don’t count yourself out! Some students may be considered for provisional admission. Contact your transfer admissions counselor to talk through your individual situation.
How To Transfer to NNU
Apply
Complete NNU’s Undergraduate Application for Admission.
You’ll also need to provide unofficial transcripts from every college or university you’ve attended, including college credits completed while in high school. Unofficial transcripts may be used for the initial admission evaluation.
You can also complete the FAFSA at this stage using NNU’s school code 001624 to determine your financial aid eligibility.
This can be completed at StudentAid.gov.
Complete Your Enrollment Requirements
Once you’ve been accepted, additional items will become available through your student status page. These will help us prepare you for your first semester at NNU.
Transfer Academic Planning
Complete your Transfer Academic Planning form so your academic advisor can begin developing your first-semester schedule based on your degree and transferred coursework.
Official Transcripts
Submit official transcripts from every college or university you’ve attended, including any college coursework completed while in high school.
Official transcripts may be sent electronically to transfer@nnu.edu or mailed to:

If you have been awarded financial aid, your financial aid offer will appear in your student status page for you to review and accept or decline.
Secure Your Spot
Once you’re accepted, submit your $250 advance tuition deposit to move forward with your financial aid, housing assignment and class schedule. The deposit is applied toward your tuition.
For students beginning in the fall, the deposit is due May 15. For students beginning in the spring, it is due November 15.
Your Credits Can Move With You
See how your previous coursework may apply.
You shouldn’t have to guess what will happen to the credits you’ve already earned.
NNU’s Transfer Equivalency System can give you an initial look at how courses from your previous college or university may transfer. Your official transcript evaluation will determine which credits are accepted and how they apply toward your NNU degree.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Make your NNU degree more affordable.
Qualifying traditional undergraduate transfer students may be eligible for federal grants and loans as well as NNU grants and scholarships.
Transfer students may also qualify for an NNU Merit Scholarship based on cumulative college GPA.
GPA and merit scholarship
If you’ve attended college for a year or less, additional financial aid opportunities may be available. Your admissions counselor can help you understand what you may qualify for.
Make NNU Home
Transferring is more than moving your credits. You’re joining a new community.
As a traditional undergraduate student, you’ll have access to the full NNU campus experience, from student organizations and athletics to chapel, residence life, campus events and the relationships you’ll build with professors and classmates.
We’ll help you navigate the transition so you can spend less time figuring out what comes next and more time making NNU your own.
