Culver Hall
Culver is where our first-year men live. Each wing has its own resident assistant and peer mentor, providing students with a built-in support system for their transition into college life. Each room typically houses two students (individual rooms available for an extra fee) and is equipped with AC/heat, beds and desks. There are shared bathrooms on each wing, laundry facilities in the hall and communal lobbies featuring pool and ping-pong tables, foosball and a snack bar.

Resident Director for Culver Hall
My name is Ethan Gerdes, and I am the Resident Director of Culver Hall! I was born and raised in Buhl, Idaho surrounded by more cows than people, but thankfully my family got out to the big city of Twin Falls to go to church where my mom was one of the pastors all throughout my growing up years. Through my time there at TF Naz I found a love for God, the Church, and its people which lead me to pursuing a call to ministry and that call lead me to the campus of NNU.
During my time as an undergrad student here at NNU I found a sense of belonging and community that I hadn’t ever really found. I loved participating in all that NNU had to offer from the classroom to student life, working as an RA in Resident life, and to the vibrant spiritual life, I got to sojourn with so many others as we followed after Jesus. During my time at NNU I met my wife and together we followed God’s call that took us to Vancouver, WA where I had the privilege of being a youth pastor for six years.
Today, we find ourselves once again following that same call back to NNU to serve the first-year guys in Culver. To offer ourselves up in the ministry of presence to these young men as they explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus in the gifts and talents that they have been given. We count it as an extreme privilege to be in this unique ministry, and we wait with anticipation and expectation that God is going to do amazing things!
In my free time, you will often find me with a book in one hand and coffee in the other. Theres nothing, I enjoy more than sitting down over a cup of coffee and hearing someone’s story. My wife and I are also self-proclaimed – Foodies on a budget! We love to get out skiing and snowboarding during the winter. We are avid runners and movie watchers, and we can’t wait to get to know more of Campus!
