Getting Started
Can I afford to go back to school?
Visit our Tuition & Aid page for a full breakdown of costs, aid options and payment plans.
What does school look like as an adult learner?
Our programs are 100% online and asynchronous. There are no set class times. You complete your coursework on your schedule, as long as assignments are submitted by the deadline.
Can I work full-time while earning my degree?
Yes. Our programs are designed to fit alongside full-time work and family responsibilities so you can keep moving forward without putting life on hold.
Are there ways I can learn more before I commit?
Yes! Our Admission Team offers monthly Info Sessions, both virtually and in person. This is a chance to “drop in and discover” what program you might be interested in and ask all the questions you have.
Time & Commitment
How much time should I plan each week?
Plan for 18–20 hours per course each week. Many students find it comparable to adding a part-time commitment to their schedule.
How quickly can I finish my degree?
You can complete your degree in as little as 2 years.
- Full-time: 2 courses every 8 weeks
- Part-time: 1 course every 8 weeks*
- Transfer credits may shorten your timeline
*no additional fee for part-time
Academics & Transfer Credits
Will my previous college credits transfer?
Yes. After you apply, we’ll evaluate your official college transcripts and build a personalized plan based on eligible transfer credits.
Will I receive credit for work experience?
At this time, we evaluate college transcripts only. Work experience is not eligible for credit.
How do I choose the right program?
Explore our available programs or connect with an admissions professional for guidance. We’re also continuing to add new programs to meet the needs of adult learners.
Cost & Scholarships
Do I qualify for scholarships?
NNU does not currently offer institutional scholarships for eCampus students, but you are encouraged to apply for outside scholarships and grants. See our Tuition & Aid page for more information.
Are there any discounts available?
Yes. If your employer is an NNU Organizational Partner, you may qualify for a 10% tuition discount. Talk to your HR department or email ecampusinfo@nnu.edu to see if your organization qualifies.
Are there additional fees?
No. There are no required fees beyond tuition. An optional book delivery fee is available. Check out the Nighthawks Book Bundle Program to see what your options are for book orders and delivery.
Outcomes & Next Steps
What are the benefits of completing my degree?
A bachelor’s degree can open doors to new roles, promotions and leadership opportunities. Many students already have the experience; they just need the credential to take the next step.
Can I continue into a graduate program?
Yes.
- Business Administration → NNU’s MBA
- Social Work (BSW) → NNU’s MSW (advanced standing)
Are these degrees accredited?
Yes. NNU is fully accredited, and specific programs like Social Work hold additional program-level accreditation.
