Clinical Placement Manager

 

Description of Position
The College of Education is a flexibly organized team with a focus on continuous improvement. We are seeking a highly competent individual who is driven towards excellence and will serve as an integral team member within the College of Education. The duties of the Clinical Placement Manager are subject to change depending on the needs of the education department. Strong organizational skills are required. NNU's College of Education is seeking to fill a full-time clinical placement position. This is a full time, non-exempt position and reports to the Department Chair of Undergraduate Education. 

Essential Functions  

  • Supports the work of the Director of Clinical Experiences.
  • Initiates and maintains quality relationships with partner schools and districts.       
  • Establishes and tracks candidate field experience placements in public school settings.
  • Communicates placement information to both candidates and cooperating teachers and schools.
  • Manages the candidate progression database.
  • Tracks and manages professional development credits for clinical partners.
  • Supports the work of the College of Education.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in a related field
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and files
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and teach others
  • Intermediate competency with Excel
  • Dependable, reliable, and the ability to meet deadlines with high quality work
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work with others both within the department, and across the university
  • Ability to represent NNU and the Education Department in a positive, professional manner to external constituents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Advanced competency in Excel
  • Knowledge of accreditation process and procedures
  • Higher education experience
  • Knowledge of K-12 education
