  • Pre-licensure RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • RN to BSN program - online 
  • MSN in Leadership & Education - online
  • MSN Family Nurse Practitioner - online 

The BSN and MSN programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. 

 

Description of Position
Full-time Medical Assistant/CNA position in the College of Nursing with responsibilities for assisting and supporting BSN and MSN Leadership/FNP programs.  The position includes lab technician duties assisting faculty with set up and teardown of skills testing stations and simulations, lab supply ordering, organizing and cost management, and care and maintenance of high-fidelity mannequins.  The position requires ability to troubleshoot simulation software and mechanical issues related to high fidelity simulations.  

 

College of Nursing Responsibilities

  • Participation in Technician Skills lab duties including Simulation preparation, technology and execution. 
  • Participation in computer driven simulations including audiovisual management
  • Participation in supply ordering and management as assigned
  • Participation in University meetings and committees as assigned
  • Professional collaboration with faculty, staff and students

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Evidence of experience working in the role of a Medical Assistant within the last 2 years in an acute care or community setting
  • Current immunizations as required by clinical partnership agreements
  • The University requires that all candidates have a Christian perspective (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition), and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU
  • Computer competency and aptitude for learning new software
  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in the English language

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant Program
  • Experience working a healthcare setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Proficient computer and audiovisual equipment operating skill

 

Compensation
Salary will be determined based on the educational background and experience of each applicant and will be discussed with individual candidates as they are invited to interview for this position.  Full-time personnel will be offered access to a benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance for employee and family, life and long-term disability insurance, flexible spending plan, tuition benefits for employee and dependents, opportunities for professional development, and a retirement program.
