Biography: David Kohagen is the Graphic Designer & Photographer at Northwest Nazarene University. He graduated from NNU in 2020 with a BA in Graphic Design. Before coming to NNU, David worked in tech support, in branding small businesses and startups, has painted murals for local cafes and created merchandise for nonprofits to fundraise. As the NNU Graphic Designer and Photographer, David is responsible for creating just about anything you see, from postcards to magazines, social post templates to t-shirts and stickers. He also runs around during campus events to photograph every moment to share with campus, alumni and more. “The best part of my job is getting into a creative flow on a large project, finishing up, having a sense of achievement and getting to share the impact this University has on so many people,” David says. David brings a young ambition and point of view that he uses to explore ways to push NNU in creative directions it has never seen before. Outside of work, David enjoys playing drums and bass guitar at church and with the occasional punk rock band. He also enjoys landscaping, home improvement, city planning and reading at the local coffee shop with his wife while dreaming of a future where cars don’t exist.

Fun Fact: I can ride a unicycle and juggle, not at the same time.
