Ryan Gage

Voice Instructor

Biography: Ryan Gage’s career as a tenor has taken him throughout the United States for recitals, orchestral dates, chamber music, opera and oratorio appearances. A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Gage studied Music Education (Vocal & Instrumental) at Southern Nazarene University (’03). He currently serves as Minister of Worship and Creative Arts at Nampa College Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho. Now in his 21st year of ministry, Mr. Gage has served at churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida and Kansas, and in addition, has led worship for retreats, conferences and workshops for the General Nazarene Church. In the fall of 2018, he began teaching as an adjunct instructor of voice at Northwest Nazarene University. Mr. Gage has produced a variety of productions and performances, including seasonal events, dinner theatre and summer theatre projects for students. Memorable performance and production credits include Shrek The Musical, Mary Poppins, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Music Man, Oliver, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Clue The Musical, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, The Drowsy Chaperone, Into the Woods, Little Women-Opera, The Marriage of Figaro, The Tender Land, Handel: The Messiah (soloist), Mendelssohn: Elijah (soloist), Beethoven Symphony No. 9 (soloist). Outside of ministry and performance, Mr. Gage serves on the Board of Directors for Brown Like Me, a youth mentorship organization, and the Community Relations Board for the Morrison Center for Performing Arts. His wife, Ashley, serves as the Associate Chaplain for Northwest Nazarene University. Together, Ashley and Ryan serve as advocates of racial reconciliation and justice through in-person workshops and their social media platform Real Black Fridays. The Gages reside in Nampa along with their four children, Keller, Kerrington, Keefer and Keegan.
