Biography: Colton Burr begins his third season as an assistant coach with the Northwest Nazarene track & field program in the 2024-25 season, working with the throwers.

Burr competed for the Nighthawks from 2018-22, finishing his career on three NNU Top 10 lists between indoor and outdoor. When he graduated, Burr was second in the outdoor hammer at 55.51m, third in the indoor weight throw at 17.55m, and sixth in the indoor shot put at 14.60m.

He was also the 2021 USTFCCCA West Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, 2022 GNAC Indoor Weight Throw Champion, 2022 GNAC Outdoor Hammer Champion, and earned five All-Region honors over the course of his career.

Burr graduated from NNU in 2022 with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and is also currently working as a Project Engineer at Amalgamated Sugar.

He is married to fellow 2022 NNU grad and track & field alum Haylee (Facer) Burr.
