Edwin Wheeler

Edwin W. Wheeler III graduated in 2007 from Northwest Nazarene University with an Bachelors of Music in Applied Guitar. In the fall 2008 he joined the ranks of the NNU Affiliate Instructors, taking students on guitar and bass guitar, coaching jazz combos, and managing the classical guitar ensemble.
As a musician, Edwin performs regularly in a variety of settings. From studio recording to live jazz clubs, classical wedding music to southern rock and blues–Edwin has played with hundreds of different musicians over the years.
Edwin is also highly involved in church music, holding a full time position as a worship pastor in the church of the Nazarene. He graduated with an MA in Pastoral Ministry in 2014. Alongside teaching classical and jazz, Edwin also enjoys helping young musicians develop their skills in the worship music setting. He believes students should develop their skills in a way that glorifies God and edifies the church.
