Associate Professor of Psychology, PsyD Program Director, Director of Clinical Training
Biography:Dr. Elizabeth List is a licensed clinical psychologist, associate professor, chair of the Psychology Department, and director of the PsyD program at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). She specializes in teaching clinical application courses, such as Human Diversity, Counseling Skills, and Human Sexuality, and has dedicated her career to preparing students for impactful careers in psychology. Dr. List serves on committees for the Idaho Psychological Association and the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association, where her work centers on advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), advancing psychological education and practice, and service. Her research focuses on strategies to reduce stress among college students and innovative methods for teaching diversity and inclusion.
What is your favorite thing about working at NNU? My favorite thing about teaching at NNU is shaping the next generation of psychologists and empowering them to become world changers. I love guiding students as they develop their professional skills, deepen their understanding of psychology, and prepare to make a meaningful impact in the world. Teaching at NNU allows me to emphasize transformation, service, and community, helping students grow not only as professionals but also as compassionate individuals dedicated to serving others.
