Biography: Jackie Van Paepeghem Mullaney loves being an educator and performer. She has been deeply involved as a liturgical musician since high school, continuing that involvement at her new parish in Nampa. She is an Idaho native and has BME and MMA degrees from Boise State University. Mrs. Mullaney has been a studio teacher and active classical performer in the Northwest and abroad since 1985. Before embarking on doctoral studies, she sang several roles with Boise Opera, soprano solos with Boise Master Chorale, and was a percussionist with the Boise Philharmonic. She completed post-graduate work for the DMA from West Virginia University in 1992, and has continued to study her craft, most notably with Dr. Carol Webber at Eastman in Rochester, New York, and Nancy Olson Chatalas in Portland, Oregon.

Mrs. Mullaney was an associate voice teacher at Linfield University for 16 years. During that time she became a founding member of Halcyon Trio Oregon, a chamber ensemble for soprano, trumpet and keyboards; the trio toured extensively in Norway in 2007, and has toured in the Pacific Northwest, California and Maryland. After a hiatus from her music to be a caregiver for her husband, she has come back to the voice studio at NNU.
