Biography: Richard grew up in central Illinois. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University (BA) and Nazarene Theological Seminary (M.Div.) before pastoring two churches in the eastern U.S. Receiving his Ph.D. in Religious Studies (New Testament) from Southern Methodist University, he taught at Olivet and Spring Arbor University for 13 years before joining NNU’s faculty in 2007. Richard’s scholarly work is in Luke-Acts and the Synoptic Gospels.
Fun Fact: I collect M&M candy dispensers.
