Step 1:

Apply and be Accepted to NNU

The first step to getting financial aid is to apply to the program you want to attend at NNU. After you have applied and been accepted, the NNU Office of Financial Aid will review your FAFSA to determine aid eligibility.

Step 2:

Complete the FAFSA

We highly encourage every student to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. The FAFSA must be completed by the student (and may require parent information) and can be submitted online by signing with an FSA ID assigned to the student (and to the parent if needed). Apply for an FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov.

NNU encourages you to complete your FAFSA by May of each year. The academic year begins with fall semester which runs from late August - Mid December, and includes spring semester (January through early May) and summer semester (May through August). Our school code is 001624.

Step 3:

Complete the Following Steps for Financial Aid

Watch the mail for your Financial Aid Award Notification.

If you plan to borrow Federal student loans, you need to complete entrance counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) online at www.studentloans.gov. Sign-in with your student FSA ID. Students who borrowed a federal student loan in the last year do not need to complete these steps.

Federal funding is always disbursed to your NNU student account after you have enrolled in and attended your first day of class. If you need books before your first day of class, and your aid is ready to disburse, you may contact the Business Office to review your eligibility for a book voucher a week before classes begin.

Don't forget to re-apply for financial aid every year!
