

Northwest Nazarene University was one of 36 local businesses and charities recognized during the annual John H. & Orah I. Brandt Foundation luncheon on the NNU campus Dec. 14, 2021. NNU received a grant for $70,000.
“Words are just not adequate to express our deep gratitude for such generosity, ”NNU’s Corporate and Foundation Relations Director Bryon Knight said. “This year's grant will provide meaningful scholarships to Idaho students through the Brandt Foundation Scholarship Fund and will support the expansion of the NNU College of Nursing.”
John and Orah Brandt were community leaders in the Treasure Valley. Known for their honesty, humility and integrity, they actively supported education, professed a strong Christian faith and believed in individual liberty and responsibility and the American capitalist system. The Brandts worked tirelessly, contributing their time and finances to support community endeavors.
This year, the Brandt Foundation awarded a total of $1,252,694. Since they began distributing funds in 2000, they have given more than $10 million to local organizations engaged in primary, secondary and economic education.
