

NNU Forensics team had a great weekend of competition at the Scheller Forensics Invitational in Forest Grove, Oregon. Earning several top placements, NNU competed with over 20 colleges and universities from across the Northwest including Boise State, Oregon State, Whitworth and Utah State.
Senior Nicole Geiger won the junior varsity informative speaking and freshman Cassidy Littleton placed 3rd in novice impromptu. Junior Sam Moore had an exceptional weekend placing 2nd in varsity impromptu, making quarterfinals in varsity International Public Debate (IPDA), and being awarded 2nd place for top speaker in varsity IPDA. Also placing in IPDA debate was sophomore Parker Akkerman, 6th top junior varsity speaker, and junior Austin Howard, 8th top varsity speaker.
Director of NNU Forensics Brooke Adamson has also announced the Nationals traveling teams for the 2017–2018 season. Traveling to Azuza Pacific for the National Christian College Forensics Tournament in March is Nicole Geiger, Austin Howard, Cassidy Littleton, Sam Moore, and Alex Murray. Parker Akkerman, Austin Howard, Sam Moore, and Alex Murray will compete at the National IPDA Debate Tournament at Whitworth University.
