NNU’S VISUAL ARTS STUDENTS SHOWCASE THEIR WORK - student-designed merchandise on displayIn early April, students from NNU’s Visual Arts department were asked to design and release their own merchandise for the campus store. They jumped at the chance and created their own NNU-branded stickers, hats, shirts and homemade mugs. VANNU’s launch was a hit with the students, faculty and staff and their merchandise sold quickly.

Junior Whitney Emerson, who made homemade mugs for the event, says: “It meant so much to me to have people support me and buy pieces I made with my own two hands.”

The Visual Arts department also recently put on Onward, a showcase that allowed seniors to present their recent works in Friesen Hall. Onward included photography, graphic design and digital media works from the talented students participating.

“The VANNU senior show was such an honor to be a part of. It finally gave my friends, family and potential employers an opportunity to see what I have been working on. It has been such a blessing to be surrounded by such amazing professors,” said Heather Kellogg, a participating senior in Onward.
