No Obligation, Really: What to Expect at a Graduate Info Session

Sep 26, 2024 | Blog

You’re going to do it. Dip your toe in the water and check out grad school. You’re not ready to make a decision yet, but you’re definitely thinking about it. So, what’s your first step (beyond doing some detective work online and maybe talking to friends)?

Consider attending a grad school info session at NNU! This no obligation, no pressure event is designed for people like you; not quite ready to make the commitment to a grad program but definitely interested, or even just curious.

Here’s how it works: Check out this page for the next available info session at NNU. You can register for a virtual session online, or you can drop into the graduate admissions office any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) on the date. And seriously, it’s ok if you don’t RSVP, you can just show up at the Graduate Admissions office at 507 S. Holly Street in Nampa.

Here’s what you can expect: Friendly, low-key people who are there to help you. There is not a set presentation but simply a chance to get information about the program you’re interested in. Counselors will be there to meet you one-on-one or with a small group. And it’s even ok if you don’t have enough info to have questions yet. Come anyway. We can tell you all about the program! And you don’t even have to stay the whole time. Drop in for 5 minutes or stay for an hour. We know you’re busy, so we are flexible and want to do what works for you.

No pressure. We promise. We understand you’re checking things out. Truly, we want the best for you and want you to find the very best match for your professional or personal goals.

The best part? Snacks. Yes, we’ll have them for those who come in person. Those of you attending online will have to provide your own!

Oh, and if you attend an info session we will waive the $50 application fee, even if you don’t apply that night.

One final thing: If you can’t make a scheduled info session, that’s ok. The team is happy to meet with you whenever it is convenient for you. Just call 208.467.8383 or email gps@nnu.edu.

That’s it. Easy.

We hope to see you at an NNU grad info session soon!
