NAMPA, ID—Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) is pleased to announce the launch of a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) program, designed to equip students with the advanced technical expertise and practical skills required to succeed in the rapidly expanding industry.

Whether they want to advance their current careers or begin something new, graduates will be prepared to lead their communities into a technology-driven future. The MSAI program prepares students to help shape a data-driven world, with artificial intelligence developments increasingly affecting how organizations operate, solve problems and serve their communities.

Students will study AI component development, pattern recognition and data analysis as well as natural language processing, preparing them to innovate through software development and system integration.

“Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way we work, solve problems, create and build technology,” said Dale Hamilton, Professor of Computer Science and Department Chair. “This program gives our computer science graduates and working professionals an opportunity to build on what they already know, develop practical AI skills and prepare to help shape where this technology goes next.”

The 30-credit program has begun a limited launch this fall before officially starting in August of 2027.
