About Biology, Pre-Athletic Training

The Bachelor of Science Pre-Athletic Training degree will prepare you for entry into a graduate program in physical therapy (PT) or athletic training (AT) by obtaining a baccalaureate degree, completing the prerequisite course work for entry into specific programs and by obtaining a broad variety of volunteer clinical experience under the direction of a physical therapist or athletic trainer (120-150 hours).

Both majors contain a common core of courses that will expose you to courses in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and psychology. Based on a pre-physical therapy or athletic training concentration, you’ll be able to choose elective courses from a specified list of biology, chemistry and kinesiology courses based on your personal interests.

See the Kinesiology Athletic Training page for that concentration’s requirements.

Meet the Team

The NNU community of students is one of the largest draws for any applying student. You will not find yourself without a friend or resource you can depend on during your study at NNU. In the Biology department specifically, I have noticed that the lecturers are friendly and want to help you succeed in your academic journey.
