Minor in Coaching
Department of Sport & Exercise Sciences
If you think you might want to coach youth or high school sports in the future, this might be the perfect minor for you. Completing this minor will provide you with a sport-specific coaching certification from the National Federation of High School Coaches to add to your resume. You’ll gain knowledge in a variety of coaching techniques that include psychology, managing groups, designing practices, working with parents and administrators, as well as the physiology and biomechanical principles necessary to design effective training programs.
