Description of Position

The Department of Language and Literature seeks adjunct instructors to teach a variety of Spanish courses.

While availability to teach in person during the day is preferred, certain courses may also be offered online or in the evenings, depending on instructor availability.

Northwest Nazarene University offers a minor in Spanish and secondary certification in World Languages (Spanish). The successful candidate will be able to teach across the curriculum. The teaching load is 1-2 courses per semester. Responsibilities include teaching classes, grading student assignments, and developing instructional materials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a relevant field
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Experience teaching Spanish classes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching Spanish courses at the college level
