Master of Divinity: Chaplaincy

NNU’s Master of Divinity in Chaplaincy program is designed for those who feel called to serve in various chaplaincy roles, whether in the military, hospitals, prisons or other unique contexts. Our curriculum, developed in collaboration with experienced chaplains, aligns with the standards set by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, the Association of Professional Chaplains and the Board of Chaplaincy Certification, Inc. With this degree, you’ll gain the skills, knowledge and credentials needed to excel as a professional chaplain and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those you serve.

About NNU’s M.Div. in Chaplaincy Program

NNU’s Master of Divinity: Chaplaincy program offers a specialized curriculum designed to equip students for effective ministry in various chaplaincy contexts. The program begins with foundational courses in theology, pastoral care and biblical studies, emphasizing the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. This theological grounding is essential for understanding the spiritual and ethical dimensions of chaplaincy work.

The curriculum is enriched by the insights of experienced chaplains who have contributed to its development. This ensures that the training is relevant and practical, addressing real-world challenges faced by chaplains. The program aims to meet the outcomes and requirements of leading chaplaincy accreditation organizations, providing students with the credentials needed for professional certification.
