NNU’s Center for Academic Success and Advising (CASA) is excited to work with new students in creating course schedules!
When your schedule is created, you may view it online. Log-in using the same user name and password you were given at the time of your application to NNU. If you no longer have your user name and password, please contact your NNU Admissions Counselor at 208.467.8000 to receive that information.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the wait list?
The wait list is used to hold a place in line for a class that is currently full. There is often a lot of dropping/adding of courses throughout the scheduling season. If you are on a wait list, there is a good chance that you will be able to enroll in the class, but it is not guaranteed. CASA will be notified when a seat becomes available in a class and will add the next person to the class. You will receive another email letting you know to check your schedule on the portal. Why am I enrolled in MATH0900?
CASA utilizes ACT and SAT scores to place students in the appropriate math courses. Students must be math “proficient” to begin University-level math courses. If your ACT/SAT score(s) are below the minimum required by the University, you will be placed in the appropriate remedial course(s) to earn proficiency.
What are my options if I believe my math abilities are higher than my current test scores indicate?
You are welcome to complete Accuplacer placement tests in math. These computerized placement tests are similar to the math portion of the ACT test. The setting in which the Accuplacer tests are administered is much more relaxed, and you are only tested in one subject area at a time.
The Accuplacer test is available at NNU for $10 per test. CASA is available to administer the test throughout the summer, during new student orientation and throughout the academic year. The Accuplacer exam is also widely available at community college and university testing centers around the country. If you plan to complete an Accuplacer test at another institution, our office needs to schedule a remote testing session for you, so please contact us before taking the test at another location. If you have taken an Accuplacer exam at another test center, we will accept a copy of the test score if they are sent directly from the other center to ours. Upon receipt of your official test scores indicating math proficiency, CASA will make adjustments to your schedule. Test scores can be emailed to studenttesting@nnu.edu.
You may also demonstrate math proficiency by transferring the appropriate pre-requisites to NNU from another school. Contact the NNU Registrar’s Office or CASA for more information.
I expected to be enrolled in a particular math or science course for my major. Why I am not enrolled in that course?
Some math and science courses have pre-requisites based on your ACT/SAT math scores. If you believe your current test scores do not reflect your current math abilities, it may be in your best interest to complete the Accuplacer math placement test for the purpose of raising your scores.

Why am I enrolled in a course for which I have earned AP credit?
The NNU Registrar’s Office must receive official transcripts of your AP Test Scores in order to award credits for a particular course. It is your responsibility to ensure that official AP Test Scores are sent to NNU. Depending on when you completed the AP tests, the scores may not be available to any school until mid-summer. You are welcome to call or email periodically to check on the receipt of these scores. When the scores are received, CASA will make adjustments to your schedule.

Why am I enrolled in courses that I have already completed as a concurrent student, and/or as a student at another college/university?
The NNU Registrar’s Office must receive official transcripts from the schools at which the courses were completed AFTER the final grades are submitted. It is your responsibility to ensure that NNU receives official transcripts from other schools. You are welcome to call or email periodically to check on the receipt of transcripts. When the transcripts are received, then CASA will make adjustments to your schedule.
