American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter

Purpose

The American Marketing Association (AMA) Club is organized and will operate for the purpose of promoting the following:

  • To help members and students cultivate and apply marketing skills.
  • The opportunity to showcase the skills and knowledge they know and will learn to generate ideas for new events and opportunities within the NNU community.
  • The opportunity for growth as we prepare them for success in the professional world.
  • To cultivate new ideas and ways we can involve ourselves in our local community.

Membership

The main focus for AMA is to give students from all departments the opportunity to grow in their professional development and gain experience in marketing.
There is no expectation of marketing experience, only the desire to learn and work toward a common goal. Our goal is to provide students with tangible ways to make their professional lives more successful.

Student Managed Fund

Purpose

The Student Managed Fund (SMF) serves as the investment management team for the Foundation Board’s Investment Committee.

  • Members meet regularly to research, analyze and vote on investment opportunities, making real-time decisions with actual University capital.
  • The team reports directly to the Foundation Board, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • While investment theory is taught in the classroom, the SMF offers students the opportunity to apply that knowledge in a real-world setting.
  • Many members also attend conferences in New York and other major cities, further enhancing their professional development at the Finance Leaders’ Conference in March.

Membership

The Student Managed Fund is open to students from all academic disciplines who are interested in developing their professional skills and gaining practical experience in finance and investment. Our mission is to equip students with meaningful, hands-on opportunities that contribute to their long-term career success.
