Biography: Abbie Schwin is a Treasure Valley native. She graduated from Nampa Christian High School, and in 2021, she went on to double major in K-12 Music Education and Applied Voice at Northwest Nazarene University. Since graduating college, she has spent time teaching K-5 music, Middle School Choir, and High School Choir. Abbie spent the last three years teaching K-5 music at North Star Charter School. Music has always been a big part of Abbie’s life, and she loves getting to share the joy of music and learning with her students.

What is your favorite thing about working at NNU?: NNU music is a wonderful teaching environment. I love that the Children’s Choir gets the opportunity to perform with collegiate students.

Share a few pieces of information about why you love working with students: I love Children’s Choir because it fosters a love for music from a young age. It teaches a good work ethic and teamwork through an artistic outlet. Making music with my students is one of my favorite parts of my week. They both inspire and make me laugh every time we are together.
