Alli Rust

Assistant Volleyball Coach

Biography: Alli grew up in the Treasure Valley, graduating from Centennial High School in 2017. She went on to play Division 1 volleyball at Pepperdine University for 4 years where her and her team made 2 NCAA tournament second-round finishes. After graduating from Pepperdine, Alli went on to continue her academic and athletic career at Boise State University for both indoor and beach volleyball. There, Alli helped lead the Bronco’s to a 2021 Mountain West Tournament title and a birth into her 3rd NCAA tournament. Following the fall indoor season of 2021, Alli completed her eligibility on the sand competing with Boise State’s beach volleyball team. Academically, Alli graduated Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and graduated Boise State with a Masters in Kinesiology. Starting her coaching career, Alli became the head volleyball coach at her alma mater, Centennial High School. After being there for just 2 seasons, in 2024 the team made a historic run finishing the season 30-6 ending their it at the 6A Idaho High School State Tournament with a 4th place trophy. Additionally, Alli was named the SIC 6A Coach of the Year. Additionally, Alli is going into her 5th year with Idaho ONE Volleyball Club as an elite coach. Currently, she is heading into her first season with the Nighthawks as the assistant volleyball coach.

Share a few facts about your specific area(s) of expertise that you bring to your work: I plan to bring a wealth of knowledge to the Nighthawks Volleyball Program due to my previous high level playing experience and my passion for coaching.

Share a few pieces of information about why you love working with students: I am looking forward to coaching, connecting, and growing with our NNU volleyball team this season. Seeing the progress from the first to the last day of training/competing is always my favorite part!
