Geoffrey Trabichoff
Violin Instructor
Biography: Geoffrey Trabichoff, born in London, won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music at the age of 15 and graduated three years later with Licentiate and Associate degrees. Post-graduate study was with the renowned Russian pedagogue, Sascha Lasserson.
Mr. Trabichoff began his career playing with the London Mozart Players, English Chamber Orchestra, London Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic orchestras. He was also violinist with the London Alpha Trio, with whom he toured Israel.
Deciding that he wanted to be a concertmaster, Geoffrey went on to take up that position with—successively—the Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon, Portugal; the Mannheim Chamber and Hannover State Orchestras in Germany and the BBC Scottish Symphony in Britain, with whom he is featured in countless recordings.
Geoffrey moved to the United States in 1997 to become Violinist with the Langroise Trio, Artist-in-Residence at The College of Idaho and Concertmaster of the Boise Philharmonic, positions he held for 22 years. He is now teaching at NNU, the Dunkley School of Music and maintains a private teaching studio.
