Madi Farrell
Assistant Coach
Biography: Madi Farrell returned to Northwest Nazarene as an Assistant Volleyball Coach in the spring of 2024.
Farrell is back in Nampa after spending a season as an assistant coach with the Western Oregon volleyball program in 2023.
Farrell, who played for head coach Doug English from 2014-2017, is one of the most decorated athletes in NNU volleyball history. The only three-time All-American for the program, she is also the lone player to earn either a First or Second Team All-American recognition, doing so in the same season in 2017 with a first team nod from the D2CCA and a second team honor from the AVCA.
She also earned six All-Region awards, the 2014 GNAC Freshman of the Year accolade, seven GNAC Player of the Week honors, and four All-GNAC recognitions (three First Team, one Honorable Mention). To date, she remains first in program history with a .372 attack percentage, third with 559 total blocks, and eighth with 1269 kills. She also holds the rally scoring single-season program records for total blocks (156) and block assists (142) while ranking second with 444 kills in a season.
Following her NNU career, Farrell played a year of professional volleyball in Germany for The Ladies in Black in Aachen in 2018-19. Along with her extensive and remarkable playing experience, she brings eight years of coaching experience that includes club, high school, and multiple one-on-one training sessions.
Originally from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Farrell graduated from NNU in 2018 with a degree in Marketing and Communications.
