Bio: Mary Schmitt is the Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies/New Testament. She has a BA in Theology and Christian Education from Southern Nazarene University (2003), an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School (2006) and is completing a doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary (anticipated May 2025). Her dissertation is titled “Conflict and Peace in Paul’s Epistle to the Romans.” Other areas of academic interest are Paul’s other letters, gender in early Christian house churches and apocalyptic literature. She is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene (2007).
