Rodney Zuroeveste

Professor of Saxophone and Art History

Biography: Rodney Zuroeveste is a proud recipient of a BA in Saxophone Performance from Boise State University which he received in 2008. He completed his MA in Classical Saxophone Performance from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2011 where his primary teacher was the well-known soloist, Selmer artist and Professor of Saxophone Lynn Klock. He has also studied with a number of world class saxophone specialists including Eugene Rousseau, Anna-Marie Wytko, Thomas Liley and Selmer artist Sandon Mayhew.

Since 2004, Mr. Zuroeveste has been involved in Idaho’s Treasure Valley music scene as a recitalist, concerto soloist and saxophone instructor of classical literature. Currently, Mr. Zuroeveste is serving as the instructor of saxophone and lecturer of music history at Northwest Nazarene University and as the professor of Jazz and Saxophone at College of Idaho. He also maintains an active prep school studio from his home. He is frequently asked to give master classes at the junior high, high school and college levels, and has been requested to serve as an adjudicator for various Idaho Music Educators Association events including District III State Solo Competitions and the Idaho All-State Band auditions.
