Tom Dale
Trombone Instructor
Biography: Tom served four years playing trombone in the U.S. Navy Band before finishing a degree in Music Education at NNC in 1976. After traveling for a year with a gospel music group and teaching music at Boise High School, Tom went to the University of North Texas and earned a Master in Music Education.
He spent 16 years traveling as a Music Evangelist for the Church of the Nazarene, taught Music at Nampa Christian High School for six years and served in local government for 25 years.
Tom continues to teach trombone and play professionally in several jazz bands in the Treasure Valley, including the Brass Band of Treasure Valley, and the Glory Brass Quintet.
“My goal is to pass on my love of music and life-long passion for making music with the trombone to the students with whom I am privileged to work. Teaching at NNU also allows for sharing how making music with the trombone can add to the Kingdom of God here on Earth.”
